The Anglican Parish of Waterloo Bay, on behalf of the Twilight Advent Carols and Crafts Festival to be held at St James' Church 17 -19 Station Street Wellington Point on Saturday 30th November, is delighted that Sirromet Wines have accepted the invitation to partner with the Twilight Advent Carols and Crafts.
Sirromet is a family owned and run winery situated at picturesque Mount Cotton, just a short drive from Brisbane and the Gold Coast, Sirromet’s state of the art facilities offers food and wine lovers the ultimate winery experience. Their story begun when Terry Morris, Queensland entrepreneur and businessman, was in Victoria attending a dinner party with friends. Terry mentioned that he had tried a great wine from Queensland’s Granite Belt to which his Victorian friends laughed and said “There’s no such thing as a great wine from Queensland.” This was the spark that Terry needed to create his vision for Sirromet. Terry chose land in the Granite Belt Region renowned for its unique combination of rich soil, high altitude and cool climate, providing the perfect location for growing grapes and in 2000 we opened our doors to the public. Utilising traditional methods and new technology, Sirromet produce exquisite quality wines recognised on the world stage. We are proud to have collected over 900 prestigious national and international wine awards to date.
We look forward to many attendees taking advantage of the delightful atmosphere in the wine and craft beer garden with live music by violinist Joel Farrow, Jim Luthy, The Birkdale Men's Shed Quartet and The Peter Mathams Group.

The Advent Carols and Crafts Festival Committee is delighted to have Wellington Point Rotary Club's assistance in running this festival.
The club is assisting in so many ways and is truly appreciated.
As well as providing its marquees for the event, the members are assisting in setting up the site, marshaling the stall-holders and providing security for the Wine and Beer Garden.
This is a wonderful gesture and extremely helpful.
The Wellington Point Rotary recently held a Drought Relief Dinner at the Redlands Museum to raise awareness and money to assist the residents of the town of Eulo, west of Quilpie. They are the first Rotary Club within their District to Adopt-a-Town to assist in drought relief and are now organising a road trip to distribute this assistance.
What a wonderful Club.

The two entrance enhancements to the Advent Carols and Crafts Festival Wine and Beer Garden by way of two sets of garden arches and fairy lights have been made possible by the Capalaba Bunnings Community Involvement Department.
This is a very important feature, as it assists the Wellington Point Rotary Club members who are providing security at the entrances to the Garden and will make it easier for them to apply wrist bands to minors when accompanied by their parents.
Wynnum Manly Rotary Club
A special "Thank-you" to the Wynnum Manly Rotary Club for their support in the "cool" running of the Advent Carols and Craft Festival.
Your assistance is very much appreciated and makes life in the food and beverage areas much easier to run.
Thank you Aromas for your continued support of the Anglican Parish of Waterloo Bay and particularly for the Advent Carols and Craft Festival.
In only its second year of operation, this festival has grown to capacity with 35 craft and food stalls, wonderful and diverse entertainment. and many coming to enjoy the atmosphere.
Coffee is becoming more popular in Australis every day and to have such a facility available to us is a real blessing.
Aromas journey began as many great ones do, with a serendipitous encounter in a land far from home. A lone explorer from Brisbane was travelling throughout Papua New Guinea and discovered that he was served locally-grown and freshly-roasted coffee wherever he went!
The early cafe scene in Brisbane was being dominated by coffee imported from Europe and far past it's ideal use-by date. This inspired the Aromas' vision:
To bring this culture of fresh locally roasted beans to the coffee lovers of Brisbane.
